What You Can Do to Get Involved!

The PPCII is looking to partner with any employment organizations looking to promote their services specifically to newcomers. In particular, we are hoping members of Peterborough’s employment services network will be able to provide employment counselling or mentoring to develop skills for employment (include Canadian systems, structures, and levels of authority; inform of need for language proficiency, possible necessary acceptance of entry-level job, further education, and Canadian work experience).

Funding Opportunity: The Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration has released the 2011-2012 Invitation for Proposals (IFP) for Bridge Training Projects that improve access to occupational certification/registration and/or employment for internationally trained individuals. If your organization is interested in pursuing this funding opportunity, the PPCII is excited to partner with you in this initiative.
