From 2001-2010 she was the Executive Director of the New Canadians Centre in Peterborough (www.nccpeterborough.ca), a publicly-funded agency that provides new immigrants with a variety of support services. She now works as an immigration consultant. |

"Michael is an employment counsellor with the New Canadians Centre. What makes him really good at his job is the personal connections he makes with his clients. These photos are submitted on behalf of Manzur- he and Michael's friendship is inspiring. Despite the distance from his home and family in Afghanistan, Manzur has found a brother right here in Peterborough."
