Volunteer Opportunities
PPCII staff are often asked to present on these topics at volunteer training sessions, frontline service provider meetings, and business trainings. Having a pool of speakers with a diverse range of experiences will increase the range of educational opportunities that we can provide. You may be a newcomer to Canada who would like to share your experiences of immigration and settlement. You may be interested in sharing your skill for cross-cultural communication. You may have worked to support refugee families. Your background in immigration-related issues will make you a valuable member of the Bureau. Training on public-speaking and the work of the PPCII will be provided. This is a very valuable resource for the PPCII and also for the community. Please contact the Outreach Coordinator to find out more about the Bureau and to indicate your interest. If there are other ways in which you would like to support the work of the PPCII, please do not hesitate to let us know. EmploymentWe hire when new positions are created or when a current position becomes open. Applications will only be accepted if they are made in response to a particular listing.

The PPCII and the New Canadians Centre Peterborough are in the process of establishing a Speakers Bureau. The purpose of the Bureau is to gather a group of volunteers who are interested in speaking about the PPCII’s mandate and/or issues related to immigration.
