What’s Happening?

Housing Supply Committee: The Housing Supply Committee explores ways to develop and promote the need for more supportive housing units. The Committee membership includes: Habitat for Humanity, Affordable Housing Action Committee, Peterborough Social Planning Council. This committee has three goals: 1)To identify emerging needs around affordable housing (supply, policy, resource development) and to sort and assign these needs (‘clearinghouse’ function). 2) To use communications and consultation strategies for the better awareness of and commitment to affordable housing (housing affordability) needs and policies throughout the community. 3) To influence policy development about affordable housing at all levels of government. The PPCII is looking to partner with any organization interested in supervising housing and transportation projects for Trent Centre for Community Based Education (TCCBE) Projects.
