The Peterborough Partnership Council on Immigrant Integration (PPCII) and Workplace Integration Centre (WIC) invite you to join in the official launches of the PPCII’s Integration Strategic Plan and the Workplace Integration Centre.
After a year of research and several rounds of community consultations, the PPCII is proud to present the Integration Strategic
Plan to make Peterborough more welcoming to newcomers and helping Peterborough businesses retain immigrant employees.
The official launch of the Workplace Integration Centre (WIC) will also be celebrated at this event. The goal of the WIC is to increase awareness and capacity of employers to hire and retain foreign-trained professionals, help to alleviate future skill shortages and improve labour market outcomes. The Workplace Integration Centre (WIC) will provide much-needed services to local employers, including one-on-one business consulting to help integrate newcomers into the workplace, help with immigration accreditation and licensing, training for employers and a web-based employer toolkit.
