The Peterborough Welcome Pass is a joint program of the Peterborough Partnership Council on Immigrant Integration (PPCII) and its partner organisations. It is designed to give newcomers to Peterborough an introduction to all the different cultural, arts, and recreational spaces in the Peterborough area. The program has many benefits for both New Canadians and participating organizations. Individuals can register for the pass at the New Canadians Centre. Once registered, the individual and his or her family will obtain a pass that will allow them to either gain free or discounted entrance into different cultural spaces and activities around the Peterborough area. This will allow for newcomers to familiarize themselves with Peterborough’s cultural institutions, and allow institutions and organizations to expand the diversity of their audience. The Welcome Pass offers also an excellent opportunity for businesses, organizations, and local events to increase their exposure to the growing numbers of newcomers who are calling Peterborough Home.
The Peterborough Welcome Pass is funded by the Greater Peterborough Museum Network and the Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough.
